Happy Sundays

On Sundays we like to head to one of our favourite pit stops for coffee Oslo Kaffebar

Weve been coming here for years, with all the dogs in all weathers and our experience has always been the same. Delicious full flavoured coffee and great vibes from all the staff. They are always super friendly with the dogs and even have a jar full of dogs treats to help yourself too. The smell of warm cinnamon rolls and coffee always makes me happy when I walk in, even on the coldest wettest days this is always my go to coffee shop.

Inside is such a cool Norweigen wood house feel, which in the winter is so cosy and their iced coffee and cookies are a perfect treat for the summer take aways.

Also they open at 9am on a Sunday which is early for Berlin and so perfectly times for the my early walks.

This particular Sunday we went with our lovely friends and their dog Nemo. He is a 9 year old

Shih Tzu from Romania, and he’’s is hilarious. He comes with plenty of pazzaz for a 9 year old dog and has all the opinions. It was Nemos first visit to Oslo and he seemed pretty pleased with the whole experience.

After some delicious coffee, we walked up the Berlin Wall Memorial,

Gedenkstätte Berliner Mauer / The Berlin Wall Memorial runs along both sides of Bernauer Strasse. The outdoor exhibition, which uses the Bernauer Strasse to illustrate the history of the Berlin Wall, is presented on the former border strip, which was situated on the East Berlin side of the border. This area also includes the official monument dedicated to the memory of the divided city and the victims of communist tyranny. This is also where the Window of Remembrance stands. The Chapel of Reconciliation and the excavated foundations of a former apartment building, whose façade formed part of the border wall until the early 1980s, are also in this section. Its an incredibly interesting place to visit in Berlin, so gives you a brilliant in site into its history and plenty of space where you can also walk your dog at the same time.

A really lovely morning, thanks Nemo and see you soon Oslo Kaffebar
