Cafe Gentil
A couple of weeks ago, I had the great pleasure to visit Cafe Gentil, a french, art cafe near Kollwitzplatz. From the minute I walked in, I knew this would be one of my favourite places in Berlin.
The whole cafe is stunning, full of vibrant colour and artwork. Theres plenty of space for you and your dog to relax and enjoy an array of sweet and savoury treats.
The dogs were greeted with hellos, treats and a warm welcome which immediately makes us feel at ease. We chose to sit in the beautiful back room which honestly felt like I was in some high end hotel. Feeling slightly underdressed in my snow boots and dog clothes! But hey it‘s Berlin so anything goes. As well as the stunning blue tones, they also have a green cosy room, which honestly if I had the budget would be my living room of choice.
There were delicious options of handmade french delicacies so we opted for a lemon tart, a chocolate eclair and a pain aux chocolate, also we were quite hungry so added a camembert, honey and walnut sandwich to our breakfast, and the obvious oat milk cappuccino and a Machta latte.
While waiting for the food, it was lovely to see other guests coming in with their dogs, either to eat in or take away. I was particularly drawn to the very stylish greyhound in his jacket! He knows how to dress for Berlin cafe culture.
The food was devine, flavoufuil and perfect. My favourite was the lemon tart, but I could have easily eaten four more eclairs. Matched with a perfect coffee I was so happy.
Freddy the cafe professional who unknowingly had dressed with perfection to match in interior, happily shared the Camembert baguette. Such a good boy with excellent taste in sandwiches.
The whole experience, from beautiful interior, excellent french pastries, a warm welcome and a relaxed atmosphere makes it a perfect cafe.
We will certainly be back soon, thanks again @cafe.gentil
